FREDERICTON – More than $58 million will be invested to support 56 projects under the 2025-26 Climate Change Fund.
“We are committed to driving innovation and championing made-in-New Brunswick solutions to ensure our province is sustainable today and for generations to come,” said Environment and Climate Change Minister Gilles LePage. “These projects will effectively help address climate change and significantly reduce our carbon footprint.”
The fund offers financial support to initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting educational opportunities and enhancing the province’s ability to cope with the effects of climate change. It encourages local, climate-focused solutions to advance the Climate Change Action Plan, which guides the province’s efforts to achieve its greenhouse gas reduction target for 2030 and reach net zero by 2050.

The 2023-24 Climate Change Action Plan Progress Report, which is now available online, provides an overview of the progress being made to protect the environment. It highlights key achievements, ongoing initiatives and a continued commitment to building a sustainable future across all priority areas.
