Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Vancouver, BC — The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) and Sales & Travel Trade Manager Markus Kruse represented visitor ready and export ready businesses at the 2025 Signature Travel Network Conference, in partnership with Destination Canada, from November 10–12, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Signature Travel Network’s premier event brings together over 2,700 Signature advisors, managers, owners, and preferred partners for three days of networking and learning.
Preferred Partner Workshop: Culture Seekers
ITAC and Destination Canada co-hosted a workshop titled “Rooted in Connection: Authentic Travel Across Canada.”
More than 130 Signature preferred partners attended to learn the latest market insights and updates. Markus presented alongside Jenn Burling, Destination Canada’s U.S. Travel Trade Manager, where they featured ITAC accredited businesses to use The Original Original mark of excellence. These operators are powerful examples of authentic Indigenous-led experiences.
U.S. Market Insights
Over the course of the three-day conference, Markus connected with over 80 Signature travel advisors, promoting ITAC’s member businesses and encouraging the inclusion of Indigenous-led experiences in future travel planning.
Conference programming also featured a dedicated update for Canadian partners from Chris Elestra, Vice President of Destination & Airline Partnerships. His presentation offered insight into upcoming partnership opportunities, emerging U.S. travel trends, and strategies for increased advisor engagement leading into 2026.
The annual Signature Travel Network Conference helps elevate Indigenous tourism, showcase member offerings, and strengthen international travel trade relationships, keeping Indigenous experiences in Canada top of mind for visitors from the U.S.
