Press Release
November 28, 2025
A Heartfelt Thank You
We extend our sincere gratitude to the community for your ongoing support over the years. Your recent messages of encouragement and well-wishes have meant so much to us during this time. Thank you for standing with us and sharing your care.
Holiday Season Update
Over the years, TI has proudly hosted memorable Christmas celebrations—both independently and in partnership with other great organizations. Unfortunately, due to financial limitations, we are unable to hold our traditional in-person Christmas party this year.
This was a difficult decision, but we remain committed to creating opportunities for joy and togetherness. Instead, we will offer:
⦁ A week of virtual holiday activities
⦁ Christmas hampers for registered families
⦁ Family Christmas photos at our new location: 282 Dupuis
While we recognize this is not the same as gathering in person, we hope these initiatives bring warmth and cheer to the season.
2025 Year in Review
Reflecting on this year, we are proud of the progress made in response to community feedback:
⦁ Relocated TI’s head office to 282 Dupuis, improving accessibility and creating space for wrap-around services in one central location.
We also hosted a variety of community events in Ottawa and Toronto, including:
⦁ Traditional maple syrup experience
⦁ Berry picking event
⦁ Community feasts in Ottawa and Toronto
⦁ Elders’ Teas
⦁ Arsaniq Conference

Through these events and our ongoing weekly and monthly programs and services, we have supported more than 3000 individuals and families this year – a testament to the strength of the community.
Looking Ahead
While gaps in services still exist, we are committed to providing robust, wraparound supports for our community. We deeply value our partners who help us strengthen this work, and we will continue these efforts to meet evolving community needs. To everyone who has shared words of gratitude and stories of how TI has impacted your lives – thank you. Your feedback inspires us to strive for excellence every day.
As we close this busy year, we look forward to continuing to provide high-quality, compassionate services and building a future rooted in care, connection, and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit.
