Tsiionkwanonhso:te Notifies Community of COVID-19 Outbreak

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health is notifying the community that the Tsiionkwanonhso:te Long-Term Care (LTC) facility has entered into COVID-19 Outbreak Status as of February 2, 2026.

Tsiionkwanonhso:te’s COVID-19 outbreak protocols include:

• Wearing masks at all times when on the LTC floor for both staff and visitors \
• Sanitizing and washing hands regularly
• Guests are required to stay in the room of the person they are visiting; there is no going room to room while in the facility
• Children under the age of 12 are discouraged from visiting in the LTC
• Limiting of 1 visitor per resident

As the health and well-being of our residents and staff remain our utmost priority, the LTC is following outbreak protocols and health guidelines.
