Lax Kw’alaams WAAP Housing Society invites Lax Kw’alaams youth and Elders to participate in naming our new 70-unit housing building, which is nearing completion

This building will be home to families and community members for many years to come, and we’d love the name to reflect our culture, language, values, and community pride.

How to Participate?
• Submit your proposed building name
• Include a short explanation of what the name means and why you chose it
• Names can be inspired by:
— Sm’algyax language
— Lax Kw’alaams history or values
— Land, water, or community connections
— Hope, strength, family, or future generations

Who Can Enter?

• Open to Lax Kw’alaams youth under the age of 19 and Elders.
• One entry per person

Prize: The selected name will receive an Amazon gift card
