Otipemisiwak Métis Government Congratulates Newly Elected Officials

The Otipemisiwak Métis Government extends its sincere congratulations to the six newest elected officials following the certification of results by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer.

The newly elected officials are:

• Gabrielle Blatz – Women’s Representative
• Bernie Ouellette – District Captain, Red Deer Métis District
• Kevin Metz – District Captain, Calgary Nose Hill Métis District
• Jennifer Schacher – District Councillor, Wabasca – Desmarais Métis District

The following individuals were acclaimed:

• Kennedy Cart – Youth Councillor, St. Paul – Cold Lake Métis District
• Tanya Fayant – Sub-District Councillor, St. Paul – Cold Lake Métis District

“On behalf of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the six individuals who will be representing their respective citizens,” said President Andrea Sandmaier. “Stepping forward to serve is a meaningful commitment to our Citizens and our Nation. I also want to sincerely thank every candidate who put their name forward in this election. Your dedication, courage, and willingness to contribute to our government are deeply appreciated.”
