Carney heads to Brampton, Ont., to highlight ‘new measures to build local infrastructure’ – iPolitics

After spending the Easter weekend off the radar, Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to start the day in Brampton, Ont., where, according to his office, he’ll “announce new measures to build local infrastructure” (10:30 a.m.) before joining Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown for a “tour” of a “local law enforcement facility.” (11:40 a.m.)

Meanwhile, Industry Minister Mélanie Joly heads to Repentigny, Que., to share the details of fresh federal support for more than one hundred small and medium-sized businesses “whose operations are being affected by tariff pressures,” according to the advisory, during a morning appearance alongside her fellow Quebec Liberals Tim Watchorn and Madeleine Chenette.
