First Nations have already given per capita payments, leaving those on general list frustrated with delays
There are some developments coming soon for a group of people still waiting for their share of money from the Robinson Huron annuities settlement according to a lawyer with the team working on the distribution.
Daniel McCoy, a lawyer with the firm Nahwegahbow Corbiere, said people on the Sudbury 817 General List will likely be able to apply starting in July for their portion of money from the settlement for past unpaid annuities.
Money from the $10 billion dollar settlement of the Robinson Huron Treaty litigation has already been distributed to members of 21 First Nations.
