This is an important announcement for all residents of Moose Factory Island. Due to rising water reaching a critical point, we are now at Level 5.

A state of emergency has been declared. All community members are asked to begin preparing for a potential evacuation.

At this time, you are not required to report to the evacuation site.

As outlined in previous notices, the designated evacuation site is the Thomas Cheechoo Jr. Memorial Community Hall. If water levels continue to rise, the Fire Department will travel throughout the community using sirens and loudspeaker announcements to direct residents to report to the evacuation site.

Your cooperation and preparedness are essential to ensuring everyone’s safety.

Registration Reminder:

All community members who have not yet registered are asked to do so as soon as possible. This is essential to help us plan effectively and ensure that everyone is accounted for and supported during emergency measures.
