Sport Awards and Sport & Recreation Scholarship

The Department of Community Services’ sport and recreation division is accepting applications and nominations for the following programs:
- Sport Awards – Do you know an outstanding athlete, coach, administrator, or volunteer in your community? Nominations are open to recognize individuals for extraordinary contributions to the development of sport in Nunavut.
- Sport and Recreation Scholarship Program – Are you a Nunavut student pursuing a post-secondary program in the field of physical education, kinesiology, sport administration, sport sciences or recreation at a recognized college or university? Applications are now available to apply for a scholarship.
These programs recognize and celebrate an individual’s physical accomplishments and determination, highlighting the potential of all Nunavummiut. For application and nomination packages, visit the Sport and Recreation webpage on the GN website.
Final packages and supporting documents must be sent to srinfo@gov.nu.ca by Monday, June 1, 2026.
