Nominations are now open for the 2026 Manitoba Mosaic Awards, recognizing newcomers, immigrants, refugees and community champions whose leadership and contributions help build a stronger, more inclusive province, Labour and Immigration Minister Malaya Marcelino announced today.
“Manitoba is stronger because of the people who choose to build their lives here,” said Marcelino. “The Manitoba Mosaic Awards celebrate individuals and organizations that are creating connections, strengthening communities and helping make our province more welcoming for everyone.”
Manitobans are invited to nominate individuals, youth, businesses and organizations whose actions are helping build bridges, foster belonging and create opportunity across the province.
The 2026 Manitoba Mosaic Awards feature expanded categories to recognize a broader range of contributions including:
A total of 12 recipients will be honoured, with awards recognizing both urban and rural leadership across Manitoba.
The awards will be presented during the province’s second annual Welcoming Week from Sept. 13 to 19. Welcoming Week is an international initiative that celebrates the importance of inclusive communities and the contributions of immigrants and refugees.
“Nominations for the Manitoba Mosaic Awards are an opportunity to recognize the people and organizations making a real difference in communities across our province,” said Marcelino. “Their leadership helps ensure Manitoba continues to be a place where everyone feels they belong.”
