A recount will occur for the Constituency of Upper Lake Melville. According to Section 89(1)(b) of the Nunatsiavut Elections Act, an automatic (or “special”) recount occurs when 10 or fewer votes separate “the candidate who receives the second largest number of votes from the candidate who receives the next largest number of votes in a constituency that is entitled to return two members.” Such a recount is to occur within 7 days and on notice to all candidates involved.”
