This spring, 10 new Indigenous doctors celebrated their graduation from medical school at UBC

On May 19, nearly 100 community members including Indigenous Elders, family, friends, faculty and staff came together to honour and celebrate a new generation of UBC Indigenous medical graduates.

Representing communities and nations ranging from the Homalco First Nation and Métis Nation of BC to Ts’msyen First Nation, Tet’lit Gwich’in, Anishinaabe Cree Métis, and the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, this year’s 10 graduates from the Indigenous MD Admissions Pathway (the Pathway) reflect the strength and diversity of Indigenous excellence in medicine.
