TORONTO, Canada — A weekend of events celebrating Israel and strengthening cross-cultural relationships concluded in Toronto with what organizers described as one of the largest public demonstrations of support for Israel in Canadian history.
The weekend combined the Building Indigenous-Jewish Friendship Conference with the annual Walk with Israel, which organizers said attracted approximately 60,000 participants. Together, the events underscored a growing movement of Indigenous leaders, Iranian Canadians, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, and other allies who are working alongside Canada’s Jewish community in response to rising antisemitism and growing social polarization.
