When Tim Johnson answered a phone call from Brock University president Lesley Rigg, he assumed they were simply picking up where their last professional discussion left off.
Instead, the president of the Niagara Academy for Indigenous Relations was “pleasantly surprised” to learn he was to be honoured at the institution’s upcoming 119th convocation with an honorary Doctor of Laws, recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of his 44-year-career.
