Forty-eight Music Nova Scotia Awards were handed out on Sunday, November 6 at the Music Nova Scotia Awards Celebration at the Holiday Inn and Conference Centre Truro.
WireService.ca Media Release (11/07/2016) Truro, NS – Ria Mae won five awards, including Recording of the year, Music video of the Year, Digital Artist of the Year, SOCAN Songwriter of the Year, and Pop Recording of the Year. Classified won three awards, including Producer of the Year, Hip Hop Recording of the Year, and SOCAN Songwriter of the Year. Ben Caplan also walked away with two awards, The Delta Halifax & Delta Barrington Entertainer of the Year and Folk Recording of the Year. On the industry side Sonic Entertainment group won two awards, Company of the Year and Promoter of the Year.
