Press Release
June 10, 2025
Bruce Power is proud to stand with the 2SLGBTQ+ community this June, celebrating the diversity that enriches both our communities and our workplace.
By taking part in local Pride events and supporting inclusive organizations, Bruce Power is reinforcing its commitment to a culture in which everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered.
Pride Month is a time to honour the 2SLGBTQ+ community and reflect on the progress made toward equity and inclusion. Bruce Power employees are joining local organizations in Goderich, Kincardine, and Owen Sound to help foster vibrant, welcoming communities for all.
“Bruce Power’s culture of excellence is shaped by the diverse perspectives and experiences of our people,” said Karen Smith, Bruce Power Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “Participating in Pride events is one of the many ways we demonstrate our commitment to inclusion and to building a workplace where everyone belongs.”
Bruce Power will take part in the following local Pride events:
Huron County Pride – June 7
Kincardine Pride – June 21
Grey Bruce Pride – June 21
“Kincardine Pride is grateful to have Bruce Power return as a sponsor for this year’s Pride Parade and park celebrations,” said Mackenzie Clarke, Vice-President, Kincardine Pride. “Bruce Power’s on-going support helps us create an event that’s welcoming, visible, and reflective of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community here in Kincardine. It’s encouraging to see local partners commit to inclusion in ways that make a real difference.”
