Call for proposals – Culture and Heritage grants and contributions for 2026-2027

The Department of Culture and Heritage is currently accepting applications for projects that promote, protect, preserve and revitalize the culture, language, arts and heritage of Nunavut.

Community-based non-profit organizations, municipal corporations and individuals can apply to receive funding for initiatives in these program areas:

  • Heritage programs – promotion of culture and heritage activities.
  • Inuit Tunngavingit – support for initiatives that promote activities for Elders and youth.
  • Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit – support for projects that promote Inuit societal values.
  • Official languages – support for language promotion, protection and preservation.
  • Public library facilities – support for the development and renovation of public library facilities or related equipment.
  • Heritage facilities – support for the development and renovation of heritage facilities or related equipment.
