Edmonton…Del Graff, Provincial Child and Youth Advocate, released the 2013-14 Annual Report of the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate (OCYA).
“The Annual Report provides a summary of recommendations that address a number of areas in the child intervention system,” said Del Graff, Child and Youth Advocate. “It is important that the government take action on these recommendations. I am committed to keeping these issues in front of government to better the lives of children and youth in care.”
The Annual Report also highlights a number of the Office’s activities including engagement with children, youth and stakeholders through newsletters, forums, conferences, and social media. In addition, the Office has consulted with the OCYA’s Youth Advisory Panel on a number of the office’s initiatives and projects during this reporting period.

The report was tabled by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and outlines the work and activities of the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate during the reporting period of April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.
