On June 15, Kingston marks the 176th anniversary of being the First Capital of a united Canada with a day of free history-themed activities at City Park.
“This is also the sesquicentennial year of Canada’s Confederation, so Kingston’s role as the country’s first capital takes on an even greater significance. Kingston’s history is Canada’s history and we have a lot to celebrate,” says Mayor Bryan Paterson.
