SNOW SCULPTURE COMPETITION

1st PRIZE $150 2nd PRIZE $100 3rd PRIZE $50
Judging will be held 10am-12pm on Thursday, February 23rd. Winners will be announced at the Community Feast
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 19th
12:30 PM PROCLAMATION BY CHIEF GEORGE GINNISH
FAMILY MASS @ST.JOACHIM’S CHURCH
Cake, Tea, and Coffee will be served immediately after Mass in the seniors lounge at the Band Hall. The opening celebration will begin with traditional drumming. Everyone Welcome.
MONDAY FEBRUARY 20th
8:00am – 10:00 AM COMMUNITY BREAKFAST at the Band Hall.
Join community members for a hot breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit, and tea/coffee.
5:30pm – 8:30 PM FUN NIGHT YOUTH CHAMPIONS EVENT at the Eel Ground school. Grade k4-8
There will be an obstacle course, a Velcro wall, and bouncy castles. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
7pm – 8pm Youth Met-con at the Eel Ground Pound (ages 12-18)
TUESDAY FEBRUARY 21st
11:30am – 1:30 PM ELDER’S GATHERING held at the Band Hall Senior’s lounge.
Food will be served. Youth will be reading to the elders in Micmac. Door prizes to be drawn.
3:30pm – 5:00 PM SLEIGH RIDE & SLIDING drop off is at the Band Hall front entrance. Hot chocolate will be served at the Band Hall.
7:00pm-8:00pm YOGA for adults will be held at the seniors lounge at the Band Hall. Everyone welcome.
WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 22nd
11:00am – 12:00pm RISING SUN PROGRAM Crafting
12:00pm – 1 PM LUNCH PROVIDED BY THE RISING SUN
1pm – 2 PM RISING SUN PROGRAM Grounding and coping skills
2pm – 3 PM SWEAT BY AUDIE the sweat will be held at the Health Center. Weather pending.
3:30pm – 5:00pm FAMILY KITCHEN cooking and eating together at the community food center. The Youth must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
7:00pm – 8:00pm YOUTH MET-CON at Eel Ground Pound (ages 12-18)
THURSDAY FEBRUARY 23rd
11:30am – 1:30 PM FOSTER PARENT/KINSHIP APPRECIATION LUNCHEON.
Held at Natoaganeg Community Food Center.
4:30pm- 6:30 PM COMMUNITY FEAST at the Band hall. Families of the community are invited, but not required to, bring their favorite pot luck dish to share at the community feast. The closing ceremony will include Eel Ground traditional youth dancers. Winners of the Snow Sculpture Contest will be announced during this event. There will also be door prizes.
Food can be dropped off at the Band Hall by 3:00pm on Thursday. Feast starts at 4:30pm. A fun evening of celebration, prizes, food, and dancers.
