The Honourable Chris Tibbs, Minister of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, has announced the following relative to Environmental Assessment – Part 10 – of the Environmental Protection Act.

Undertaking Registered:
L’Anse au Loup Watershed Dam Reconstruction                     (Reg. 2387)
Proponent: Town of L’Anse au Loup
The proponent is proposing to reconstruct a 3.6 metre section of the existing water supply dam on the L’Anse au Loup Brook that serves the Town of L’Anse au Loup. The proposed project work includes reconstruction of a damaged section of the dam, replacement of the existing chlorination building, installation of two new sluice gates and a new intake control valve. The undertaking was registered on January 29, 2026. The deadline for public comment is March 6, 2026, and the minister’s decision is due by March 15, 2026. Comments may be sent to: EAProjectComments@gov.nl.ca
