“For over three decades, this vital fund has played a key role in raising environmental awareness across all age groups in New Brunswick,” said LePage.
The government is considering the possibility of supporting recurring projects beyond the 2026-27 program year. Environment and Local Government conducted a public survey and a series of engagement sessions with stakeholders that ended this month. Feedback from this engagement process will be contained in a report to be issued by the end of the year. A proposal on the future of the fund will be considered by the government in 2026.
