Final Block of Tickets for Commonwealth Stadium Papal Mass Delayed from Monday, July 18 Until Friday, July 22, 2022

The release of the final block of tickets for the Papal Mass (Tuesday, July 26) will now take place on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. MT.
Tickets were originally scheduled to be released on July 18.
Why the Change?
We continue to prioritize Indigenous participation at events throughout the Papal Visit. In conversations over the last number of days, many Indigenous partners have requested additional time to secure their reservations. In addition, recent federal funding announcements may allow new groups with a strong desire to participate in the visit of Pope Francis, an opportunity to mobilize.
The delay in releasing the final block of tickets will provide an additional window for Indigenous participation while also ensuring that all available inventory, including any seats not reserved by Indigenous or group partners, will be offered to the public on Friday, July 22, 2022.
For other papal events in Alberta, tickets have been made available to residential/day school survivors, Elders, Knowledge Keepers and those supporting them through National Indigenous Organizations, Catholic dioceses traveling with survivors and other partners. If you are a residential or day school survivor and do not have contact with an Indigenous partner, please refer to www.papalvisit.ca/tickets-access.
You are encouraged to arrive by 8:30 a.m.! Mass will start promptly at 10:15 a.m. Please allow extra time as there will be screening of all guests upon arrival. Because of exceptionally large crowds and heavy expected traffic, Ticketmaster is advising people to arrive by 9:15 a.m. latest to be early enough to get inside for the 10:15 a.m. Mass
ALL TICKETS ARE FREE. DO NOT BUY FROM RESELLERS:
- We are working closely with Ticketmaster to identify any irregularities and investigate the use of any bots (bulk purchasing software) which is illegal.
- We are also working to track any of the tickets being offered – wherever possible they will be cancelled and reissued
- We recognize this is a challenge with a free event – the best approach for all concerned is to ensure the public does not purchase tickets from any individual or resale site.
- Some tickets may not be authentic or legitimate – we see this with other popular events – people arrive at a venue only to find out that the tickets are not authentic – we do not want that experience for anyone attending papal events.
- It is indeed troubling that anyone would take advantage of an event focused on healing, reconciliation and hope to deny entry to someone who wishes to be part of this historic event.
- Sadly, this is not unique to the Commonwealth event – other papal visits worldwide have experienced similar challenges.
Individuals may order up to 6 tickets for Mass. To facilitate participation from as many people as possible, please only order the number of tickets you know will be used. You will have an opportunity to make a contribution to support the Papal Visit if you wish to do so.
Information regarding priority seating allocations for residential school survivors, Elders and knowledge keepers has been provided to National Indigenous Organizations (NIO’s), Catholic dioceses traveling with survivors and other Indigenous partners. Lists of delegates have already been completed or are being prepared. Please connect with your respective NIO, diocese or Indigenous partner. For groups of more than 30 tickets, we ask that you make your ticket request directly by e-mail to: commonwealthgroups@papalvisit.ca (english) or commonwealthgroups@visitepapale.ca (french). The groups team will require your name, e-mail address and number of tickets requested. They will respond to you directly.

Papal Mass Park & Ride
Please remember there is no parking on site.
- Edmonton Transit will be free for Guests at Mass – your ticket serves as a transit pass.
- Organization provided group transportation must be registered to receive their accreditation
- Group Contact People will be given an assigned park and ride for the whole group. We encourage groups to carpool to the park and rides.
ETS will provide Park & Ride service between Commonwealth Stadium and a variety of Park & Ride sites for the Papal Mass.
ETS bus routes 2, 3 and 101, as well as the Capital Line LRT, run near Commonwealth Stadium. You can use your ticket as fare for regular bus/LRT and Park & Ride buses from 7am until 2:30pm on July 26. Park & Ride buses start running at 7am and run approximately every 5 minutes from each location:
- Calder City Lot (124 Street and 124 Avenue)
- Davies City Lot (86 Street and 61 Avenue)
- Eaux Claires Lot (97 Street and 157 Avenue)
- Lewis Farms (1021 Webber Greens Drive)
- Note: To accommodate Valley Line West construction, this lot has a lower amount of available stalls. If you use this lot, please plan to arrive early, or park at Calder.
- Mill Woods Town Centre (66 Street and 23 Avenue)
- Downtown route will run between 107 Street/Jasper Avenue (buses going to the mass start at Bus Stop #1035) and Commonwealth Stadium.
