FNNND By-Election 2026 Results

Press Release

On April 16th, 2026, at the Close of Nominations, the Chief Electoral Officer advised the Election Committee that pursuant to section 5.16 of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun Election Act, that only one candidate for Chief and only three candidates for Councillor in this By-Election submitted and upheld the required nomination forms. The Election Committee declared that:

Franklin A. Patterson was thereby elected as Chief for First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun;

Kyle Mervyn, Melody Hutton and Florence Pilon were thereby elected as Councillors for First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun.

The First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun Election Committee members are:
