The Department of Family Services invites you to a foster parent recruitment night on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Building 439 in Iqaluit.
Join special guest, pediatrician Dr. Amber Miners, as she shares insights on the impact of trauma and adversity on children in care. Following her presentation, there will be an information session on the rewarding role of fostering and what it means to provide a safe and supportive environment for children in need.
Topics will include:
- Roles and responsibilities of foster parents.
- Guidelines for reporting critical incidents.
- Financial compensation and available support.
- Q&A session with Family Services representatives.
Discover how you can make a difference in a child’s life!
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
