Full evacuation ordered for Poplar River First Nation – 880 CKLQ
Winnipeg, MB (CKLQ) – A full evacuation has been ordered for the Poplar River First Nation as a wildfire rages on the town’s edge.
Last week, 285 people were evacuated due to health concerns over smoke and air quality.
Now, 600 people are being told to get out as winds have pushed the fire to within seven kilometers of the community.
The Canadian Red Cross is helping with the evacuation.
