Respect, transparency, and collaboration have led to the development of the partnership, said Garden River First Nation Chief Karen Bell.
Garden River First Nation has partnered with a company that will see Ontario’s largest solar energy project created on their land and the first nation receive revenues of $50 million per year.
Garden River and Neoen, a global leader in renewable energy, have created a 50 per cent partnership equity, and their project has been awarded a 20-year contract by Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator.
