Georges Erasmus wins Emerging Writers Award – NNSL Media

My brother Georges Erasmus is a humble guy and doesn’t brag about his exploits, so I’ll do it for him.

Too often we do not recognize a person’s accomplishments until they die, and I am not waiting till then. Eschia (take it easy, eh)!

Georges and Wayne K. Spear, a Mohawk educator and writer, recently won an Indigenous Voices Award (IVA) for the book they co-authored. It’s called, ‘Hot’a! Enough! Georges Erasmus’s Fifty-Year Battle for Indigenous Rights.’ Way to go, Georges!
