Government of Nunavut encourages residents to report fuel quality concerns

The Government of Nunavut’s Petroleum Products Division (PPD) is committed to providing safe, reliable, high-quality fuel to Nunavummiut. Our fuel is subject to rigorous quality assurance measures, including sampling, laboratory testing, and routine monitoring to ensure it meets applicable industry standards.

When concerns are reported, PPD works with local fuel operators and retailers to investigate. This may include collecting samples for laboratory analysis to determine whether a fuel quality issue exists and, if necessary, taking appropriate corrective action.

Reporting concerns directly helps us investigate quickly and ensure the continued integrity of Nunavut’s fuel supply.
