Grand Council Treaty #3 Congratulates Shoal Lake 40 First Nation on Housing Development Announcement

Grand Council Treaty #3 extends its congratulations to Shoal Lake 40 First Nation on the announcement of a new housing development in Winnipeg, MB, supported by over $51 million in combined funding and expected to create approximately 150 new homes.

This initiative reflects the continued leadership of Shoal Lake 40 First Nation in advancing opportunities for its members and contributing to the well-being of communities beyond its territory. The development represents an important step in addressing housing needs while creating long-term benefits for future generations.

Shoal Lake 40 First Nation has long demonstrated resilience, strength, and commitment to community. This announcement builds on that legacy and highlights the capacity of First Nations to lead meaningful, large-scale developments grounded in community priorities.
