EDMONTON — Alberta’s government is providing $500,000 in grants to support firefighter training across the province, with funding distributed to 90 recipients including municipalities, First Nations and Métis Settlements.
The funding is part of the Fire Services Training Program, which helps local fire departments and personnel access training aligned with industry standards and tailored to community needs.
Municipal Affairs Minister Dan Williams said the investment will help ensure firefighters have the skills required to respond safely and effectively when emergencies arise.
