Katherine Peterson’s review into death of Cape Dorset baby submitted to Nunavut’s health department
The lawyer conducting a review into the death of a baby in Cape Dorset in 2012 has completed her final report.
Katherine Peterson says she submitted her review to the government of Nunavut on Nov. 20 — it’s 54 pages plus appendices and recommendations.
Three-month-old Makibi Timilak died hours after a nurse at the local health centre allegedly refused to see him. The nurse, Debbie McKeown, was later promoted to the community’s top nursing position.
