Maternal and Child Health Education Sessions

Iqaluit Public Health is inviting you to join the weekly Maternal and Child Education Sessions provided by the Public Health team in Iqaluit.

These education sessions are geared towards prenatal individuals and their families who are interested in learning more about the well child services provided by Iqaluit Public Health.

Each week, an education session will cover one of four topics: newborn care, postpartum care, infant feeding, and an overview of the well child clinic, which includes immunizations.

Individuals are welcome to attend all sessions. This is an open invitation with no prior registration requirements.

Location: Nunavut Arctic College, Space A – 218 Lecture Hall

Time: 2 to 4 p.m.

Topics and session dates:

• Newborn care – August 4, 2023, and November 3, 2023.
• Postpartum Care – August 11, 2023, and November 10, 2023.
• Infant Feeding/Breastfeeding – August 18, 2023, and November 17, 2023.
• Well Child Clinic – August 25, 2023, and November 24, 2023.
