Mayor Josh Morgan of London Joins the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative

Toronto, ON – January 8, 2026– The Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative is pleased to welcome Mayor Josh Morgan and the City of London, ON to its growing coalition of more than 400 mayors and local executives working to advance economic prosperity across the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River Region while protecting the globally significant freshwater resources that are the heart of the region.

As a member of the Cities Initiative, Mayor Morgan and London will work collaboratively with members from across the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River Region in the United States and Canada to promote regional economic prosperity and resilient communities, while supporting healthy lakes and rivers.

London is situated in the heart of southwestern Ontario between Toronto and Detroit, and it is one of Canada’s fastest growing and increasingly diverse cities. With a population exceeding 530,000 (CMA), London is the 11th largest city in Canada. London is a hub for life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and agribusiness, and is home to world-class educational institutions such as Western University and Fanshawe College.
