Media advisory – Minister Petitpas Taylor to attend the 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans Forum in Fredericton

Fredericton, NB – The Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will attend the 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans Forum in Fredericton, hosted in partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada, Rainbow Veterans of Canada, and the LGBT Purge Fund.

The Forum, which takes place on August 28-29, will be a hybrid event with in-person and virtual participants. It will provide attendees the opportunity to network and discuss with other stakeholders, and share insights and experiences directly with the Department.

During the Forum, the Minister will welcome participants, listen to presentations and panel discussions, and speak directly with Veterans and stakeholders. Key topics will include progress in supporting 2SLGBTQI+ Veterans, diversity and culture change within the CAF, and mental health.
