Media Advisoy – Phase 1 of the Wasauksing Swing Bridge repair project beginning December 7, 2015

PARRY SOUND, SEGUIN TOWNSHIP, Ontario, December 9, 2015 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists, pedestrians and cyclists of upcoming work to repair the Wasauksing Swing Bridge.

Phase 1 of the repair project began Monday, December 7, 2015 and will be completed by June 30, 2016. Phase 2 of the project is expected to begin December 2016.

The bridge will remain open to all road traffic while the project is underway.

During the navigation season, the bridge will remain operational to allow the passage of vessels.

This project will reinforce the integrity of the bridge and ensure its continued safe operation.
