The Métis Business Conference & Tradeshow hosted by the Métis Economic Development Fund (MEDF) and Louis Riel Capital Corporation (LRCC), in conjunction with the Manitoba Metis Federation financial affiliates and Métis National Council.
In his Opening Remarks, President Chartier stated that “the Métis Nation, and in particular the Métis entrepreneurs in Manitoba have been making great strides in becoming part of the economic life of the west, and can expect to see much more engagement as we move forward, and forums such as this, bringing the Métis community in direct contact with the private sector certainly is of immeasurable benefit.”
The event is focusing on providing value to all entrepreneurs through a number of business venues encouraging government and industry to enhance Métis relationships.

The two-day event, will feature over 50 booths, 8 presentations, keynote speakers featuring the Honourable Theresa Oswald, Minister of Jobs and the Economy and Chuck Strahl former Minister of Indian & Northern Affairs Canada. Other presenters include President David Chartrand, Manitoba Metis Federation, Entrepreneurship Manitoba, Lindsay Dandeneau; Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), Joelle Foster and Cassandra Dorrington, President, Canadian Aboriginal & Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC).
