MFNERC: Next Month: Northern Principals’ Roundtable

This roundtable is intended to provide school principals in the northern area of the province an opportunity to network, share ideas, and discuss student success.

The theme of the event is “Finding the Balance: Meeting Academic and Emotional Needs of Students”. The focus will be on early childhood education, literacy, numeracy, resource-student supports, language/culture and high school. It will take place May 4-5 at the Kikiwak Inn in The Pas. Other topics to be covered include:

• creating safe classroom learning environments
• designing meaningful instruction
• encouraging success for all students
• meaningful monitoring of student progress and personal development
