Millbrook FN: Comminty Open House – Moose River Consolidated Project

Atlantic Gold is pleased to invite Millbrook Band members to the Community Open House to review information on the planned start of construction of the permitted Touquoy Gold Mine and the commencement of the Environmental Assessment processes for the Beaver Dam Gold Mine.
These two gold deposits are part of Atlantic Gold’s Moose River Consolidated Project.
- The mining of the Touquoy deposit will occur for approximately five years.
- If successfully permitted, the mining of the Beaver Dam deposit would follow for three to four years.
- Gold ore mined from Beaver Dam is proposed to be trucked to and processed at the Touquoy site using existing facilities.
During construction, employment will peak at 300 people primarily with contractors. Jobs created during operation are expected to be about 150 for Touquoy and 215 for Beaver Dam.
Please drop by the Community Open House at your convenience to gather information and share your input on the Moose River Consolidated (MRC) Project with our team. Information will be shared on social, environmental and economic aspects of the MRC Project. Draw prizes and refreshments provided.
Band members are also welcome to attend public open houses scheduled for May 18 at the Natural Resources Education Centre in Middle Musquodoboit and May 19 in Sheet Harbour Lions Club (both from 3PM to 8PM).
