Ministerial Travel

• Minister Cleveland will be attending a Nahendeh Constituency tour from June 8-12 with MLA Shane Thompson to:
  • Participate in a public meeting with leadership and community members, a community meal, and a school tour in Jean Marie River (June 8)
  • Meet with leadership, and participate in a community tour and a school tour in Nahanni Butte (June 8-9)
  • Participate in a public meeting with leadership and community members, a community meal, a school tour, and a visit to the community garden and chicken co-op in Wrigley (June 10)
  • Participate in a public meeting with leadership and community members, a community meal, a school tour, and a visit to the community garden in Sambaa K’e (June 10)
  • Participate in a meeting with council members and a school tour in Fort Liard, as well as attend the graduation at Echo Dene School (June 11-12)
• Premier Simpson will be traveling to Calgary, AB June 9-10 to:
  • Attend and speak at the Global Energy Show Canada 2026 Executive Conference (June 9)
  • Participate in a Canada West Foundation roundtable on arctic sovereignty and security (June 9)
  • Speak at the Canadian Club Calgary Luncheon (June 10)
• Minister Kuptana will be traveling to
  • Fort Liard for a Nahendeh housing tour (June 9)
  • Nahanni Butte for a Nahendeh housing tour (June 10)
  • Wrigley for a Nahendeh housing tour (June 11)
• Minister Wawzonek will be traveling to Ottawa, ON, June 9-10 to:
  • Meet with The Honourable Rebecca Chartrand, Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency of Canada (June 9)
  • Meet with The Honourable Stephen Fuhr, Secretary of State (Defence Procurement) (June 9)
  • Meet with The Honourable Shafqat Ali, President of the Treasury Board of Canada (June 9)
  • Meet with The Honourable Steven MacKinnon, Minister of Transport and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons of Canada (June 10)
• Minister Macdonald will be traveling to Łutsël K’é on June 10 to attend the announcement for the Celebration of the First Relationship Plan for Thaıdene Nëné Indigenous Protected Area: Thaıdene Nëné Badı Xá (Watching Over Thaıdene Nëné).
• Minister Macdonald will be travelling to Fort Good Hope on June 11 for a Department of Justice/RCMP community visit.
• Premier Simpson will be traveling to Toronto, ON, on June 11 to attend and speak at the Eurasia Group/RBC  2026 US-Canada Summit.
• Premier Simpson and Minister Cleveland will be traveling to Inuvik on June 15 to attend the 2026 Arctic Development Expo.
• Minister Cleveland will participate in a constituency tour with MLA Denny Rodgers on June 15 in Inuvik.

• Minister McKay will be virtually meeting with the Secretary of State (Sport) Adam van Koeverden on June 9.
• Premier Simpson will be virtually addressing the National Security Program cohort of the Canadian Forces College on June 10.
• Premier Simpson will be participating in a virtual First Ministers’ Meeting on June 10.
• Minister McKay will be attending the Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony for the CCGS DUMIT at Canadian Coast Guard base on June 11 in Hay River
• Minister Kuptana will be meeting with Paul Bros Nextreme on June 12 in Yellowknife.
