This year’s theme, “Mino-Pi-Matisi-Win,” encourages us to live from the heart. It involves embracing our true identities, cherishing our languages, customs, and traditions, and honoring the Natural Laws of Nature.
This 90-minute live educational gathering will immerse you in the rich tapestry of Indigenous culture, music, dance, and history while honoring Residential School Survivors. It is designed to open a dialogue with young people about the truth of Canada’s residential school system.
Students will hear from residential school Survivors and take in performances by Indigenous dancers and singer-songwriters. They will also hear from Elders, change-makers, knowledge-holders and authors.
