Press Release
Calling all Métis youth artists!
We are looking for Métis youth artists (citizens aged 16-29) to help design a community report created in collaboration with the Métis Nation of Ontario Youth Council (MNOYC), Healing and Wellness branch, and the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences.
This report is based on a project that explored the health priorities and research engagement preferences of Métis youth.
Up to four Métis youth will be chosen to design the report, and at least one must be a graphic designer with digital art skills. The graphic designer will help design the 30 page report (including cover). The other three artists will help design the findings or part of the findings from the report. Artists can use any medium they choose including Métis flower beadwork, dot art, symbolic designs, hand drawn or digital illustrations, storytelling artwork, cartoons, layered media or other creative styles.
All four artists will receive a $1500 gift card as compensation for their work.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out the survey below with your name, age, MNO citizenship number and a sample of your artwork. Your MNO citizenship number will be sent to the MNO Registry for verification:
Artists will be selected by a panel of three youth representatives from the MNO’s Youth Council. This opportunity will remain open until an artist is selected. All interested youth will be notified of the outcome.
If you have questions, please email mnoyc@metisnation.org.
