Moose Cree First Nation – Evacuation Site in the Event of Flooding

In the event of potential flooding, the designated evacuation site will be Community Hall at the Thomas Cheechoo Jr. Memorial Complex.

If evacuation is initiated, all community members will be instructed to report to this location.

Community members will be notified when to proceed to this location. Notifications will be carried out by the Fire Department using sirens and through loudspeaker announcements throughout the community.

Transportation will be provided for community members who do not have access to a vehicle

A school bus will be available to transport individuals to the evacuation site at the TCJMC Community Hall.

The bus will follow a continuous loop along the following areas: Center, Jaban, North, Bay Road, and Niskaway.

This route will be repeated to ensure all community members have access to transportation.

Please be ready at your nearest stop and watch for the bus.
