GENERAL ELECTION 2016 NOTICE TO ALL MOOSE CREE FIRST NATION ELIGIBLE VOTERS
Notice is hereby given that a NOMINATION MEETING will be held at the TCJMC Community Hall on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of nominating candidates for the positions of Chief, Deputy Chief, 1 Elder Councillor, 1 Youth Councillor, and 12 Councillors for next subsequent term.
Eligibility to Nominate
3.2 Any Member who is a Voter may nominate unless precluded under these regulations.
Nomination Procedure
3.4(1) Nominations will only be accepted for positions after notice of nomination meeting has been posted.
3.4(2) A person may be nominated for more than one position but may only accept candidacy for one.
3.4(3) Candidates may be nominated through the completion of a Nomination Form as prescribed in Schedule 1 [of the Election Regulations] or in person at a Nomination Meeting, and according to the following:
(a) Electoral Officer may be contacted by any Voter in person, by telephone, by email, or by post to obtain a Nomination Form.
(b) Completed original Nomination Forms must be sent by post or delivered to any of the Electoral Officers by 12 noon on the day of the Nomination Meeting.
(c) The Electoral Officers shall not accept incomplete Nomination Forms.
(d) The Electoral Officers must determine the authenticity of Nomination Forms.
(e) Nominees must file Acceptance of Nomination form as prescribed in Schedule 1 [of the Election Regulations] to the Chief Electoral Officer by writing, fax, or email to either accept or refuse the nomination within seven days of Nomination Meeting; a failure to file will be deemed refusal of the
nomination.

WHEREAS Moose Cree First Nation holds their General Election every four (4) iears as stated in Section 1.1 of the Moose Cree First Nation Election Regulations, (5t amendment approved by Moose Cree Citizens, February 21, 2012), and;
WHEREAS the Council of Moose Cree First Nation term expires on August 8, 2016, and;
WHEREAS it is necessary under Section 2.2 of the Moose Cree First Nation Election Regulations to appoint a Chief Electoral Officer;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of Moose Cree First Nation appoints Hilda Alisappi as the Chief Electoral Officer, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Chief Electoral Officer shall appoint Deputy Electoral Officers as stated in Section 2.2 (c) of the Moose Cree First Nation Election Regulations.
