New Commanding Officer of Nunavut RCMP

Today, Justice Deputy Minister Christine Ellsworth issued the following statement:

“I extend my congratulations to Chief Superintendent Kent Pike on his appointment as Commanding Officer of Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) ‘V’ Division. His appointment reflects his distinguished career in law enforcement and his proven record of leadership, qualities that will serve him well as he assumes responsibility for overseeing policing operations across the territory.

I am confident that his leadership will uphold the highest standards of law enforcement and contribute to advancing key public safety priorities for our territory. I look forward to working in close partnership with him as he undertakes these responsibilities and to supporting his efforts to enhance community engagement, build inclusive relationships, and strengthen public trust for the benefit of all Nunavummiut.”
