Couple behind the festival aiming to make it an annual event
The co-founders of a new storytelling festival in Hamilton want non-Indigenous people to know they can laugh at their jokes, too.
“That’s the whole point,” said Madeline Wilson Shaw, who is part of the Mohawk nation of Kahnawake.
After being asked what was happening in Hamilton for Indigenous Peoples History Month, Wilson Shaw and partner Ryan McMahon decided to take a risk and make something themselves.
