The CMA is continually evolving and working hard to adjust and support a changing cultural landscape. By reflecting the desires and aspirations of our members and communities, we ensure that our initiatives remain pertinent and impactful but this is only possible with interaction and feedback, especially from our members.
At the heart of our success lies our relationship with you — our role as an organization to reflect you and your institutions, and ultimately the diversity of communities, histories and cultures. Together, we not only sustain existing partnerships but also strategically cultivate new ones, both within the public and private spheres and fortify the CMA’s role as a leader in Canada’s cultural landscape.
Join us as we continue this journey of stewardship, relevance, and partnership. Your presence and participation at this year’s AGM are crucial as we chart the course for the future of our beloved museums and communities.
Why Your Participation Matters
This is a key time to be an active member of the CMA as we are heading into a new strategic planning process and our 80th anniversary year in 2027. We are looking forward to presenting the CMA’s activities from the past year as well as providing an overview of what is coming next.
The meeting will offer the opportunity to elect five board members and pose questions to the CMA board and staff regarding CMA projects and activities both past and future and including the 2024 Annual Report.
Your presence at our AGM is invaluable. Your experience, vision, and passion enrich our discussions and decisions. Should you have any questions before the meeting, my team and I are here to assist. Please feel free to reach out directly at executivedirector@museums.ca.
I look forward to your participation at the upcoming 2025 Annual General Meeting of the CMA. Together, let’s shape the future of our museums and communities.
Sincerely,
Janis Kahentóktha Bomberry
Executive Director and CEO
