The 2016 Ontario Coaches Conference (OCC) welcomes coaches of every sport and level to attend this 3-day event, organized by the Coaches Association of Ontario. The OCC combines inspirational keynote speakers, NCCP clinics, engaging networking events and a showcase of coaching related partners. The conference is for all those that are interested in learning more about coaching whether at the elite level, community/recreational or those just starting out. This annual application has been established in order to create more opportunities for Aboriginal Coaches throughout Ontario in preparation for events such as the 2017 North American Indigenous Games.
EACH REGIONAL COORDINATOR FROM THE ABORIGINAL SPORT & WELLNESS COUNCIL OF ONTARIO WILL SELECT AN APPLICANT TO ATTEND THE CONFERENCE!!!
SELECTED APPLICANTS WILL RECEIVE:
Registration fees covered to attend (regular price is $250) · Either travel OR accommodations coverage of up to $200 ACM CERTIFICATION, MEALS PROVIDED, OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE/NETWORK AND FREE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
REQUIREMENTS: Must be of Aboriginal (First Nation, Metis or Inuit) ancestry · Must have interest in coaching at either community/competitive level · Attend the Aboriginal Coaching Modules on February 19TH from 9:00am-5:00pm (unless already certified) · Attend conference in its entirely · Attend ASWCO Meet & Greet Breakfast on Saturday February 20th · Must pay pre-arrange for own travel OR hotel accommodations and expenses (available at a reduced rate). Either expense is covered up to $200 (which you will be reimbursed for after the conference – receipts required) · $50 non-refundable deposit to attend if selected · Submit completed application by provided deadline date and time ·
