Police lift shelter-in-place advisory for M’Chigeeng First Nation – CTV News

A shelter-in-place advisory has ended in M’Chigeeng First Nation. The advisory was in effect after reports of gunshots Friday morning in the Riverside Drive area, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release.

“Officers from the United Chiefs & Councils of Manitoulin, Anishnaabe Police Service and Manitoulin OPP responded to the disturbance,” police said.

“One individual is in police custody without incident while another is being held for questioning.”

Police said they appreciate the public’s patience as officers worked to investigate and resolve the situation and ask anyone with any information related to the incident to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
